Upcoming Performances

I’ve super excited to say that I now have two performances coming up in October!

On October 4th, I’ll be performing the Strauss “Emperor Waltzes” with the Bryan Symphony Orchestra in Cookeville, TN. I had a lot of fun performing the Britten “Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra” and Debussy “Afternoon of a Faun” for 4 performances last fall with the Bryan Orchestra, so I’m thrilled to get to play with them again. Only one piece and one performance this time, but playing with orchestra in any capacity is one of my favorite things in the world to do!

Then on October 26th, I’ll be performing on “The Mechanics of Belief” by Mark Volker for a concert of the Belmont Camerata at Belmont University up in Nashville. The piece is an extremely challenging contemporary composition for harp, flute/piccolo, violin, and voice, so I have my work cut out for me on this one!

I’ll be carting myself and my harp down to Huntsville for something else in October as well, but I don’t want to give any details about that until it’s complete. Not a performance opportunity, but something that’s looking to be a very fun and interesting experience nonetheless!

The summer has been a very quiet season for me in regards to performances, so it’s nice to have a few professional engagements to prepare for! It always amazes me how a month can go from empty to filled with rehearsals and performances before you know it! I guess this means I won’t be spending weeks making Halloween costumes for my husband and I like I did last year, haha!
