Wow, it’s been awhile! I’ve definitely slacked on my posts, but I plan to return to my weekly updates!
My absence has been for a good reason the last month or so. Last week, my husband and I moved into a nice big house in Spring Hill, very close to where we lived the last 2 years. I love it! Though with my husband’s busy work schedule, a large portion of the packing and unpacking has been left to me. At least it’s exercise, right?
Something I’m extremely excited about in our new home is my awesome new music room. Students can now come in the front door and find themselves in a nice big open space, surrounded by 4 harps and a piano. My husband’s game room (a work in progress) overlooks the music room like a loft and provides a seldom-seen view of what a harp looks like from above, haha.
Meanwhile, amidst the hectic move last week, I was featured in an article in the local Advertiser News newspaper here in Spring Hill! It was fun to speak with Mr.Old about my experiences as a harpist and I’ve gotten a lot of good feedback from the article. I always enjoy a chance to share my love of the harp with others!
2015 was a relatively slow year for me with weddings and events, but 2016 is already looking to be a big year for gigs. I’ve received 4 requests for weddings in the last 3 days alone, so be sure to book your event early before the dates fill up!
I’ve also started 2 new harp students in the past month, which is always exciting for me! I love introducing people to music or a new instrument and am always accepting new harp and piano students! No better time to start like the present!
